The SimPsons MoviE

Guess who in history was the greatest American? Was it Einstein? George Washington? Abraham Lincoln? Martin Luther King Jr? 4 great men yet not the greatest! So if they arent, then who is?

Well in 2003, the BBC conducted an online poll asking Britain to name history's greatest American.

And the winner? Homer Simpson. By a massive margin. Homer got 47.2 percent of the vote; Lincoln drew 9.7 percent.

There you go. Homer Simpson. Best. American. Ever. All i can say is kudos!

Let me take you on a recap of Homer's achievements thus justifying why he was voted greatest American...

He anchored the longest-running comedy in TV history, lasting 18 seasons and counting! He was part of 23 Emmys, a Peabody Award and an estimated US$2.5 billion in earnings! And he skewered scores of movies, dozens of TV shows, and nearly every sacred idea embedded in our culture! I guess thats just tough to beat!! :)

The television show is aired in 70 different countries and all homer-niacs would be waiting in anticipation for the release of The Simpsons Movie this Thursday.

The heart of the show has always been Homer, and the Simpsons family as a whole. That's what this national treasure of a series has been about - family. I'd like to leave you with a quote from HOMER

Homer on life: "Kids, you tried your best and failed miserably. The lesson is, never try."

brilliant!!
